Elite Dangerous: Bounty Hunting in a Wing

You can hunt for NPC pirates everywhere alone, but you can effectively hunt for them in a wing as well.

All you need is to form a wing and keep in mind that all wing members share scan results as well as bounties received IF they deal damage. Basically if you do small damage to enemy hull then you will get even share of bounty - 100 000cr bounty in a wing of 4 will give each wingman 25 000cr (if every one dealt any damage to enemy hull).

Also keep in mind that after first wingman scans enemy all wing members will share this data - so only one need to Kill Warrant Scan enemy for all to see total bounty amount.

Super-Cruise, Nav-Beacons, Extraction Sites, Signal Sources etc. Just fly there and kill wanted ships, profit will be shared. It is easy and works exactly as for solo players only you will split earnings, however, there is a little more excited way to hunt now.

Assassination Missions

All wing members dock at same station and switch between different game modes (solo, open, private groups) and accept all assassination missions for 150 000-200 000cr, all wing members might be able to accept exactly same mission to hunt same pirate, just take as many as you like to. Then form a wing because switching between modes will break a wing and head to any system specified in mission.

Usually you need to visit Unidentified Signal Source to find a small ship telling you where this pirate could be found - you need this information only once, meaning that if all 4 wing members have exactly same mission only one needs to have updated pirates location, go to that system all, scan for Unidentified Signal Sources and first wingman to find target sets his Wing Beacon On so rest wing members can nav lock on him and jump to same instance. All wingman should deal a little damage and upon killing all who have mission to kill that enemy will see objective completed.

So all wingman not only will share bounty that enemy has but also receive money from completed mission.

But be careful in 1.2 there is a bug when if you encounter small ship that will provide you with an alternate ending (usually just to abandon mission) then completion of that mission might become impossible. To counter this the moment you see wrong comm message is to save/quite the game or shoot at this guy - it will break the messages and you can keep original mission objective, but shooting in non anarchy system will result 200cr bounty for now.

User Interface

Also be warned that sometimes if you accept kill general mission (the enemy name will have gen. in front of it) there might be a bug when enemy shoots at you and do not become wanted but when you open fire you become wanted (always check right user interface->functions->report crimes against me if enemy do not become wanted in non anarchy system, maybe it is OFF).
