Vulture is a fighter that has Large hardpoints thus can effectively attack any ship in the game. Initial Price is around 5 million, fully kitted will cost you around 30 million but it really depends what you want to do with it - hunt NPCs or other player, because Vulture is highly used in PvP.
Vulture is very agile ship that can sit on enemy tail or wherever you want, however, top speed of 243 is not impressive at all - even Python is faster with 259. Boost (381) is better than Pythons 338 but Fer-de-Lance has close to 400 and Fer-de-Lance also mass locks any ship but Anaconda, so there is little sense to fly Vulture if you can afford Fer-de-Lance, Python or Anaconda.
But if you want to train in combat or have ship with not very high insurance price tag then Vulture is very good, it is also very fun ship to fly.
Maximum cargo capacity without shields is only 56 tonnes so trading in it is not worth, maximum jump range is around 22 LY but combat ready variant will have the range around same as Python -16 LY, which is better than Fer-de-Lances 12-13 LY.
It has 2 seats and cockpit has very good visibility, but the biggest issue of Vulture is its power plant - only class 4.You will not be able to fit best modules and shields and shield boosters and shield cell banks at the same time - there wont be enough power for all of that. Compromises will have to be made all the time, learning how to set priorities is crucial on such ships, but when you will find your favorite setup you will have a lot of fun.
Vulture has 2 Large hardpoints which are located slightly behind the cockpit so you can effectively use fixed weapons as well as gimbaled. 4 utility mounts can have 4 shield boosters, but only if you sacrifice fire power (cannons or pulse lasers) and/or modules (lower class or rating).
Large hardpoints are great, they deal a lot of damage and have great variety of weapons. Popular loadouts would be Beam and 1 Cannon, Plasma and Fragment Cannon, dual Pulse lasers, but you make even extreme loadouts like dual Plasma. In that case you will have to make great sacrifice to shields and/or modules because of limited power output.
As you see Vulture has very good shields similar to Python and lakon Type 9, however, because of small power plant you most likely will not have 4 shield boosters unlike Python which has no issue with power plant. But if you manage to squeeze 4 A shield boosters and even power one Shield Cell Bank at a time then Vulture is like small flying fortress for a reasonable price.
